Terms of use

The comparison is free and can be used without registering. Here you can read what you can rely on and where the limits are.

Scope

These terms apply to the use of die-krankenkasse.ch, operated by FinanceRock GmbH, Cham (UID CHE-142.042.105). By using the website, you accept them. For advice or intermediation, the information in the Intermediary information also applies.

What the platform provides

  • Comparison of basic health insurance across all health insurers, based on the premiums approved by the FOPH.
  • Information on supplementary insurance, health insurers, deadlines and ways to save.
  • Tools such as the deductible calculator, the premium subsidy check and the model finder.
  • On request: advice and intermediation by FinanceRock GmbH.

We are not a health insurer and do not conclude any insurance contracts ourselves.

The insurer’s documents are binding

Calculations are based on the premiums approved by the FOPH for the year concerned, source: FOPH, health insurance premiums, opendata.swiss. The date and premium year are shown with every result. Only the insurer’s quote or policy is binding.

The premium subsidy check and the benefits comparison of supplementary insurance are indicative and without guarantee. What counts is the written decision of your canton or the general terms and conditions of insurance (GTC) of the product. How we calculate is explained under How we calculate.

Neutrality

In the premium calculator we show all health insurers and insurance models offered in your region and, by default, sort them by premium. There are no paid placements. Whether we earn anything from a contract is stated with every action and in the Disclosure.

Account

For “My account” you need a valid email address. You are responsible for access to your mailbox. We may block accounts that are misused (for example for automated mass queries). You can delete your account at any time.

Requests

A request is free of charge and places you under no obligation. FinanceRock GmbH contacts you only through the channel you have chosen. Please do not enter any health information in free-text fields.

Permitted use

Large-scale automated queries, circumventing technical protection measures and taking over content for commercial purposes without consent are not permitted. You may use open data that we provide under a licence in accordance with that licence.

Liability

We prepare content and calculations carefully and correct errors as soon as we become aware of them. We are liable within the limits permitted by law. We exclude liability for slight negligence to the extent permitted by law; we are always liable for intent and gross negligence (Art. 100 para. 1 of the Code of Obligations, CO). The operators of linked websites are responsible for their content.

Availability

We strive for uninterrupted operation but cannot guarantee it, for example on premium day when traffic is very high.

Reporting errors

Please report errors in premiums, deadlines or texts to to be added. We document corrections in the change log under How we calculate.

Changes, applicable law and place of jurisdiction

We may amend these terms; the published version applies. Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of FinanceRock GmbH, unless the law provides for another mandatory place of jurisdiction, for example for consumers.
