How we calculate
Every ranking and every calculation can be traced: methodology, sources and corrections.
Methodology and sources
The premium is only half the bill.
Your deductible plus the 10% retention fee (max. CHF 700) count too. That’s why the annual total appears directly in the result, across three health scenarios. So you can see whether a high deductible pays off for you.
Example: premium of CHF 420 (deductible 300) or CHF 330 (deductible 2,500) per month. Co-payment under Art. 64 KVG and Art. 103 KVV.
The same rules. Different questions.
Moving out, starting a family or retiring changes the maths. Basic health insurance stays the same.

You can switch at any age
In basic health insurance, every insurer has to accept you, with no health questionnaire. Age plays no role.
